Audition workshop (part 1) FRIDAY 4-6 PM

Hi all! Thanks to everyone who attended last week's event. This week, on Friday, October 22, we will host a workshop covering audition techniques across the disciplines (dance, instrumental music, singing, acting), in room A-300 (the auditorium) from 4pm to 6pm. This will be run collaboratively with artists from across the college including a Yale School of Music grad and prizewinning violinist, and an Emerson College grad and SAG actor, along with your usual coordinators, Profs. Poole and Schyrokyj, will team up to give you tips from across the performing arts disciplines on that most important and most feared moment of any performer's life: the audition. We'll talk about conquering nerves and jitters, getting your mind in the right place, preparing an audition repertoire, practicing in advance of an audition, and the different kinds of auditions you might expect--among more things. And remember, like always this won't just be talking: this is going to be an interactive workshop, so be prepared to get your hands dirty! If you have any questions contact Prof. Poole at mcpoole@bhcc.mass.edu or Prof. Schyrokyj at lschyrok@bhcc.mass.edu
